As a young woman, I trained and worked as a technical illustrator. In 1980, I completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) at the University of Ottawa. In 1994, I built three life-sized wolves and photographed them in Ottawa, on top of buildings and in front of the Parliament buildings. The "Wolves in Ottawa" show was exhibited at the Old Ottawa City Hall.
My works are a metaphor to "seeing life as a balancing act". In my work, I am looking for a structural connection between nature and the human form where there is a balance which is colourful and humorous. I construct sculptures of people to capture those rare moments in life when everything flows. Their inside world connects with the outside world.
I have participated in many exhibitions including, for the last ten years, those of the National Capital Network of Sculptors.
